Ruvenor rectal suppositories are recommended as supportive therapy in the process of anorectal canal and rectal mucosa repair.
Ingredients: each rectal suppository (2 g) contains hyaluronic acid 5 mg (as sodium salt), Asian Cantele oil extract, calendula oil extract, liposoluble aloe vera extract, tea tree essential oil (Melaleuca essential oil), solid fat (semi-synthetic glycerides).
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is one of the key players in the tissue regeneration process. Through its specific receptors it modulates inflammation, cell migration and angiogenesis, which are part of the main phases of wound healing. It strengthens blood vessel walls and improves local blood circulation.{1}
Asian Cantele stimulates collagen production and deposition, which contributes to faster wound healing. It has been used to treat a number of inflammatory skin conditions, to control edema and capillary filtration. {2}
Tea tree - has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects. According to a clinical study, topical application of a combination of tea tree essential oil and hyaluronic acid in patients with hemorrhoids relieves pain with bowel movements, anal itching and irritation, and reduces bleeding. {3}
Calendula - According to the Herbal Medicinal Products Committee (HMPC), preparations containing calendula flower extract can be used to treat minor skin inflammations and as an aid in wound healing. {4}
Aloe vera - has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties on epithelial tissue. Results have shown that topical treatment with aloe vera is a non-traumatic method of treating inflammation.{5}
